House of Commons Page Program

Each year, 40 students are selected from across Canada to participate in the Page Program. Pages are first-year students registered at one of the eligible post-secondary institutions in the national capital region. They work on a part-time basis for one year.

In the chamber and around Parliament Hill, pages support parliamentary democracy by providing a range of services to members of Parliament. This incredible work experience broadens their knowledge of the rich traditions of the Canadian parliamentary system.

OCAD University - Portfolio Clinics

Your portfolio is a visual representation of who are you, and a collection of work that showcases your individual creative and technical experiences.

OCAD University has created a unique portfolio program with you in mind. Portfolio Clinics are designed for learners between the ages 15 and up interested in pursuing a creative pathway towards postsecondary education. We are excited to work alongside you in developing your studio art and design skills.

This series of workshops encompasses all aspects of the art and design process; these may range from research and conception, to problem solving, to finalizing and sharing.

Taught by OCAD U faculty who are professionals in their field, learners will come away with a better understanding of how studio-based research and creative process work can come together to support a strong portfolio piece. The various workshop offerings present an opportunity for participants to explore different techniques, mediums and approaches to a studio practice applicable to any art and design program.

Questions? Email: portfolioclinics@ocadu.ca

Please note: Not all workshops are available at every scheduled date. Portfolio Clinics may be subject to cancellation due to low enrolment.

Visit https://admissions.ocadu.ca/visit/meet-us/portfolio-clinics for more information and to register.

The New ontariocolleges.ca Mobile App is Here!

In August, we launched a new ontariocolleges.ca app – one that makes it easier and more enjoyable to apply to college on a mobile device.

With the new school year almost underway, we’d like to share everything you need to know about our new mobile app to help you better support students who are considering applying to college.

About the App

The new ontariocolleges.ca mobile app features a refreshed design that matches the desktop Apply experience we launched last summer, giving students a more consistent experience when moving between the two platforms.

Just like with our existing app, students can use the new ontariocolleges.ca app to create an OCAS account (or log into an existing one), search and add programs, request transcripts, pay fees, and view and confirm offers. The new app also includes features that weren’t previously available for mobile, like in-app chat support and viewing Ontario high school grades.

Download the new ontariocolleges.ca app!

A Few Quick Notes

We’ve built an entirely new app, rather than simply updating our existing one. This means the new ontariocolleges.ca mobile app has a separate app store listing.

We’d like to ensure users of our current mobile app have plenty of time to complete in-progress applications, so we’re keeping the existing app available until mid-September. After this transition period, we’ll begin directing users to download the new app.

Ontario Tech University

As we continue to navigate through these different times, we want students to know that we are here and ready to assist with multiple resources available to them.

We are offering a variety of virtual and on-campus events when it is safe to do so, such as webinars, Q&As with faculty and admissions, tours, and our open houses. We're also encouraging students to text us their questions, book a one-on-one meeting with a Recruiter, and download our mobile app.

Check out all the ways to stay connected:

If you have any questions, we're here to help you and all our future Ridgebacks; connect with us online or send us an email to recruitment@ontariotechu.ca

We look forward to working with you,

Trent University recruitment team is now booking university visits with schools for fall 2021.

To help guide your students as they look ahead to their post-secondary next steps, the Trent University recruitment team is now booking university visits with schools for fall 2021.

During our presentations, your students will learn more about our range of academic programs, scholarships, housing options, student life, and preparing for university.

This fall we will be offering two types of visits:

Daily Virtual Presentations

Discover all that Trent has to offer by booking one of our convenient virtual presentations. These presentations are offered daily at a variety of times, and will give your students the opportunity to meet with a recruiter and a current student to learn why Trent is Ontario's #1 undergraduate university.

In-Person Presentations

As Trent plans for a full return to in-person learning at both of our campuses for September, our recruitment team is planning for the return of in-person school visits this fall. We would love to visit your school to chat with students about all the advantages of studying at Trent.

Please connect with us to book the presentation of your choice – in-person visits can be converted to a virtual presentation should the need arise, or book both options!

Save the Date: Trent Virtual Guidance Event

Wednesday, October 27, 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Bring your coffee and your questions. Our virtual guidance update features a look at both Trent campuses, an admissions update, info on 2022 new program offerings, and an opportunity to meet our staff, faculty, and current students.
