Welcome to our Grade 7 and 8 students!  We're looking forward to September and would like to share a few tips on what to expect on the first day of school.

Finding Your Homeroom

Grade 7’s: Meet in the cafetorium for your timetable and to connect with your homeroom teacher and group.

Grade 8's: You will find locator lists posted in the school. These lists are organized by grade and name. Students can find their homeroom teacher's name and room by using this list. If you cannot find your name, do not worry. Teachers will be available to help you.

Grade 7/8s will eat lunch with their homeroom groupings in the cafeteria for the first week. We want to ensure everyone has a place to eat their lunch with friends.

Grade 7/8’s will be dismissed a bit early to find their buses for the first few days of school. Again, teachers will be able to help you.

School Supplies

There is no set supply list.  Bring pens, pencils, and paper/binder to start the school year and teachers will inform students if other items are required.

First Week Jitters

Students are understandably nervous about the first day and can sometimes be disappointed that certain friends are not in their classes. Please know that extensive time and planning has gone into creating the 7/8 groupings. Usually by the end of the first week, students have settled in, made new friends and have adjusted to the new homeroom class. Thank you for your understanding and patience at this time.
