Rideauwood Fundraiser

Earlier this year, the community of Kanata was severely impacted by the loss of two students, Teslin and Chloe, especially the staff and students of Holy Trinity and All Saints. In response to this tragedy, Holy Trinity’s Student Council Executive decided to host a charity to raise money for Rideauwood Addiction and Family Services in light of the fentanyl crisis impacting youth in Ottawa. The Grads Give Back Dodgeball Game and Barbecue was held on May 5, and consisted of a dodgeball game, followed by a barbecue in the Holy Trinity gym where there was food, drinks and music. The success of the event was made possible by numerous generous donations from the Real Canadian Superstore in Kanata, Laura’s Independent Grocer, Party Mart, Gilmore Reproductions, and many staff and student volunteers. Tubman Funeral Homes also generously donated $1000 in support of the event, which in addition to Holy Trinity’s fundraising efforts made for a total amount of $2,500.00 raised for Rideauwood. This selfless and heartwarming event was made possible by the initiative of Holy Trinity and All Saints staff and students; both schools hope to make the event an annual tradition.
